Create Chunky Cable Knits and More with Double Knitting Wool
As the temperature drops and the Christmas season approaches, what better excuse to get wrapped up nice and warm in this season's latest designs. Shopping on the high street for winter wardrobe staples can cost a fortune. Invest in double knitting wool and save yourself a bundle.
The Cable Knit - Getting wrapped up to brave the cold is one of life's little pleasures and looking good is easy, even on a budget. Learning how to knit cables can make your woolly jumpers and sweaters stand out. A cable knit jumper is made up of vertically knitted panels bordered by purl stitches that are designed to show off the cable design. If you are new to knitting cables, start off slowly with a small knitted garment such as a pair of mittens or a woollen hat.
The Snood - This is the latest garment on the high street that is a cross between a scarf and a hood that when knitted can enhance your outfit instantly. These garments look stunning in every colour and are ideal for beginners. The design itself makes quite an impact and can be knitted using one block colour. Dig out your double knitting wool and create comfy accessories to keep you toasty this winter.
Create Seasonal Gifts with Double Knitting Wool

Texere Olympia Knitting Pattern - 036 Striped Cushions
This leaflet is for gorgeous stripy scatter cushions knitted using Texere Olympia pure lambswool. The cushions are made in one piece in stocking stitch and secured with colourful buttons, meaning they are very easy and effective and great for beginners. Choose two toning or contrasting colourways and alternate them throughout with the shades striping from one to another beautifully as you work - let the yarn really do the talking! (As the yarn has a slight slub effect to it the meterages can vary slightly from skein to skein so two skeins will easily be enough for two full sized cushions, but the third may need to be slightly smaller). Use any chunky weight yarn, though the colour combinations of Olympia are so sumptuous you'll be spoilt for choice! Click on image for quantities & size information.
