Connemara Linen
Large size cones for bulk requirements now available in five of the shades of this strong linen. This yarn is excellent for warps and wefts and the large cones are an easy and very economical way of working, saving you over 75%!!
Pure linen with a good natural sheen. A fine single yarn - 10/1nm - approx 250m per spool and approx 9000m per cone.
For weaving in the warp or weft. This strong yarn is also excellent for lacemaking, braids and tassels and any project needing a strong yarn in rich, muted shades or subtle neutrals.

Available in a wide range of jewel like colours. We sometimes have difficulties in replacing stocks with exactly the same shade - ie we ordered mint and they are a sagey shade, so we've added sage and will amend when we take another delivery!!

Empress Multi Crochet Cotton
A soft, strong 100% mercerised cotton yarn with a lovely lustre. It is available in a few space-dyed shades to compliment the solid colour range & gives a shaded effect without having to change colours. Empress crochet cotton yarn is perfect for delicate crochet work as it has a smooth appearance and will give excellent stitch definition. You can also knit, braid or tassel with Empress crochet cotton yarn as it has a lovely drape, or weave it into strong, smooth fabrics. This is an 8 gauge cotton or 10/3cc which is similar to a 3ply and needs a 3.25mm crochet hook or needles.

Good Fortune Cotton
A 4ply thickness pure soft cotton yarn in a wide range of colours ideal for knitting and weaving
100% pure soft cotton. Cool hand wash, dry flat and cool iron.
4ply (4/12 wc) thickness - 850m per cone, 40m per spool.
This cotton yarn is made exclusively for us and dyed to our specific colour scheme covering soft and subtle through to bright rich shades. The Double Top Cotton Yarn compliments this range perfectly.
This is a great all round craft yarn and as well as being perfect for knitting and crochet it is also excellent for weaving and knotting crafts as it has a soft, but strong handle.

Penguin Cotton
We have had lots of enquiries for fine cotton and here is a special purchase of limited supplies of both ercerised and soft cotton yarns. The Emperor mercerised is very similar to Perle 12.
100% Pure Cotton
2/16cc - 1350m per cone. Both yarns are exactly the same count, however the mercerised looks slightly thinner as it has a slightly tighter twist.
The Emperor is perfect for weaving in the warp or weft and we would recommend the King for weft. Both will give you soft, lightweight fabrics with a lovely drape. Also excellent for delicate lacemaking and embroidery, crochet and knitting, braids and tassels.
As we bought the yarn from a company called Penguin we have named the mercerised cotton "Emperor" and the soft cotton "King" for clear identification.

Ideal for embroidery and braid making, and perfect for crochet, knitting and tassels as it has such fantastic drape. Highly lustrous, brightly coloured, filament yarn. Unfortunately we have had great difficulty obtaining stocks of this yarn and have had to make the difficult decision to discontinue the range. We still have stocks of all the colours showing on the website but if you need further information about a specific colour please do not hesitate to ask.
