Rug Making Yarns

We have acquired a very limited supply of this wool/nylon blended rug wool for latch hook rug making. This yarn is finer version of the New Fez (Anchor 6ply) and comes in the identical colour range.
52% British Wool, 48% Nylon, moth-proofed and made in England.
4ply (i.e. 2/3rds as thick as 6ply Fez), 6.8cm long and 160 pieces per pack.
Use in 5 holes per inch canvas and one pack will cover 160 holes which is approx a 2.5 x 2.5 inch square. Or use two ends together in 3 holes per inch canvas.
As we have limited stocks of this yarn we suggest you choose a multi-coloured design for your rug as we are unlikely to have more than 50 packs of any one colour! As the canvas is finer you will be able to create more intricate patterns with your design and blend your colours more effectively.

Fabulous new sale price with an amazing 40% discount. These are bags of thick rug wool (very similar to the 6ply Blue Fez we have sold) with one solid colour per bag in a jumble of longer lengths. We have added a mixed bag to the range which will have the best selection possible available. Each bag will be different and could vary from the image shown.
Lengths may vary from approx 2 inch upwards with the longer lengths being perfect for cutting and using in latch hook rug making. One of these bags is equivalent to approx 3000 pre-cut pieces of approx 2.5"/6.5cm in length, totalling approx 200m (but remember that will not be one continuous length).

As we are bagging up the yarn we are discovering more colours, and we expect there will be approx 60 fabulous shades to choose from. The quantity of each colour we find varies considerably so we will try to keep the website as up to date as possible, as certain colours sell out quicker than others, but we are always likely to get more in eventually!

Use in the weft, stitch or hand hook through our large hole canvas. Use in macrame and tapestry or for very chunky knitwear. Please note that the new super thick multi is impossible for us to wind, so is available on a skein only.

A classic wool and nylon carpet yarn of exceptional quality in a wide range of colours ideal for rug making and general crafts.
80% Wool 20% Nylon - approx 350m - 500m per cone, 50m per spool (approx 20g).
Wool for warmth and nylon for strength.
Ideal for making classic velvet pile carpets and rugs or shaggy rya rugs using either a tufting gun or a few ends together using a rug hook. This yarn is also ideal to stitch into small hole canvas for needlepoint work such as church kneelers etc.
