Mango Moon yarns are all fairly traded yarns spun in Nepal and Indonesia. This unusual yarn is made from 68% acrylic, 28% nylon and 4% Spandex. It has been created to knit with another yarn to add softness, memory, stretch, and bounce - specifically Recycled Sari Silk is the first choice, but try other non-stretchy yarns like cotton. You can also knit it as approx 1ply on it's own to create light, stretchy fabrics. Springy Capelli has a twisted, springy, slightly loopy effect and is available in a range of bright and pale shades.

Mango Moon Recycled Sari Silk
*Reduced Price* - was £14.50. Unfortunately we are no longer able to obtain recycled sari silk from Mango Moon, but we do have another supplier who source their fair trade sari silk from India. This 100% sari silk yarn is made from the best quality recycled saris meaning it is lovely and soft and perfect for knitting and adding texture and interest to weaving, embroidery and braids. The silk comes from industrial weaving mills in India where it is then hand spun, giving women a way to work and earn money. It has a gorgeous sheen and a lightly twisted slightly uneven texture making each batch unique. As a result of this the skeins are measured by length, rather than weight, so weights may vary from batch to batch, but the skeins will always have a minimum of 150yd each.
