This is a small, but perfectly formed selection of glittering metallic yarns which are similar, but thicker than the Boutique Collection.
A mixture of metallic polyester with acrylic and viscose blends
Knit or weave as at least 2ply or thicker. A selection of glittering yarns for knitting as 2ply or thicker.
Weave in the weft, embroider, tassel and braid with these twinkling yarns or add embellishment to your knitwear.
These threads are all slightly different from each other, but all have a fine thread and a fine Lurex in common giving a unique collection of yarns.

A metalised polyester and viscose tubular chainette ribbon yarn, ideal for dyeing and embroidery. Available on cones or skeins.
70% viscose (will dye), 30% metalised polyester (will not dye). Hand wash, dry flat, cool iron.
The tape is hollow and is 4mm wide. Approx 58m per cone and 9m per skein.
Fill the tapes with another yarn or wire for interesting ruched effects
Suitable for dyeing - try dyeing the opal black - wonderful reflections! |

Available in a wide range of jewel like colours. We sometimes have difficulties in replacing stocks with exactly the same shade - ie we ordered mint and they are a sagey shade, so we've added sage and will amend when we take another delivery!!

 | Starbright Infinity by Creative Yarns
Unfortunately the company who supply us with this yarn are no longer trading, so when it's gone, it's gone I'm afraid. We still have stocks of all the shades shown and we'll try and keep the website up to date as we sell out of shades.
Starbright is a fantastic ladder yarn constructed from 94% nylon and 6% Lurex. It may be familiar to you as it's very similar to Sirdar Firefly which is now discontinued. Starbright is available on bigger balls, but the main difference is the Lurex which runs throughout the yarn adding a lovely twinkling effect. Knit into delicate scarves and shrugs or combine with beads for contemporary jewellery. If you have any old Firefly patterns it will knit up to them perfectly. One ball will make a long, lacy scarf.

 | Reflection Angoragold Batik with Metallic DK by Creative Yarns
This is a fantastic double knitting yarn with a light, soft, hairy feel spun from 10% mohair, 10% wool, 75% acrylic and 5% metallic. Fine mohair yarns are brilliant because although they knit as double knitting, they have the meterage of a much finer yarn (nearer a 3ply), so you only need a couple of balls for a garment! Reflection is a shaded yarn that gradually changes from one colour to another throughout you project, so you get a subtle and interesting effect without any effort. This metallic version has a fine twinkly thread running through it to add a bit of bling to your knitwear! Knit to the exclusive Creative Yarns designs or to any DK pattern, but check your tension first.

Look familiar? Yes, the ever popular Firefly is back, but now on bigger balls and with the addition of glitter* to half the shades, so it doesn't look dissimilar to Starbright! It's a gorgeously soft, light ladder yarn that is constructed from 93% nylon and 7% polyester. The colours include some of the most popular shades from the original range, plus new additions. The glitter is woven through the ladder to add a twinkling, slightly crinkled effect to catch the light and add some glamour. Knit into simple scarves, choose from the new patterns we have in stock or dig out your old patterns and have fun. Knit on 4mm pins to a tension of 25 stitches and 34 rows to a 10cm square, or use much larger needles for a lacier effect.
