This is a glorious, smooth and lustrous 98% mohair yarn (with just 2% nylon that's added when spinning) that has never left Yorkshire! The angora goats live on a farm less than 50 miles from Texere Yarns and live a happy life roaming around the farm getting shorn twice a year when their hair gets to about 150mm in length. (This is as free range and organic as it gets!) There are no air miles here, just a little journey round West Yorkshire as the fibre is scoured and carded in Halifax, spun in Bradford, dyed in Huddersfield, balled in Wakefield, then it's sold from our mill back here in Bradford! The yarn has a lovely handle - it's soft, strong, warm and nowhere near as hairy as traditional brushed mohair. Knit or crochet to most DK patterns, but just double check your tension first.

This is a fantastic double knitting yarn with a light, soft, hairy feel spun from 10% mohair, 10% wool, 75% acrylic and 5% metallic. Fine mohair yarns are brilliant because although they knit as double knitting, they have the meterage of a much finer yarn (nearer a 3ply), so you only need a couple of balls for a garment! Reflection is a shaded yarn that gradually changes from one colour to another throughout you project, so you get a subtle and interesting effect without any effort. This metallic version has a fine twinkly thread running through it to add a bit of bling to your knitwear! This is a lovely blend of mohair and acrylic producing a soft, light yarn suitable for knitting and weaving.
50% Mohair and 50% Acrylic.
345m per cone - knit as approx 4ply by hand or machine. As with all mohair yarns the fluff of the yarn tends to bulk it out slightly, so we would recommend knitting on approx 5mm needles, but knit a tension square first.
Hand wash, dry flat, do not iron - lightly brush to fluff up.
There are six rich and sumptuous colours to choose from in warm tones of reds, pinks and rusts. |

A collection of mohair rich loop yarns in a small range of marled, textured colours.
Mohair rich with wool and a nylon binder. Three new additons are quite unusual as they are made from quite bright colours, but the black binder gives them an overall muted and dramatic effect. They will arrive to you on balls and knit as approx 4ply - UPDATE - we've sold out of 2 colours, found some cones of one colour and also found three new grey mixes!!
