 | Olympia Chunky - Texere's newest yarn This gorgeous yarn is spun from 100% lambswool and is available in the most delectable range of colourways. Olympia is a chunky, roving style yarn with glorious combinations creating marls and subtle colour blends throughout. It has the look of Rowan Colourscape or Noro Iro which are both chunky yarns, so you could knit to these patterns or any chunky pattern, just check your tension first. Being pure wool Olympia felts brilliantly to create thick, soft felted pieces. The yarn isn't a slub, but has a handspun feel with thicker and thinner sections to create a fabulous, slightly textured finish, meaning every garment will be unique. There can also be quite an amazing variation from batch to batch, so please ensure you order enough to complete your project as orders will be picked by eye because there are no dye lots. As with any colourspun yarn it is not possible use the air-splicing technique so the occasional knot will occur. Click for full colour range |
