Nylon

Starbright is a fantastic ladder yarn constructed from 94% nylon and 6% Lurex. It may be familiar to you as it's very similar to Sirdar Firefly which is now discontinued. Starbright is available on bigger balls, but the main difference is the Lurex which runs throughout the yarn adding a lovely twinkling effect. Knit into delicate scarves and shrugs or combine with beads for contemporary jewellery. If you have any old Firefly patterns it will knit up to them perfectly. One ball will make a long, lacy scarf.

Baby Crofter is the baby version of the immensely popular Crofter DK, however, this double knitting yarn has been created on a "Snuggly" base, to the blend of 55% nylon and 45% acrylic means it's lovely and soft against the most sensitive skins. It has a Fairisle effect as you knit meaning you achieve unique and colourful effects with none of the hard work. The colours are inspired by the gentle shades of the Scottish Highlands and there are shades to suit boys and girls. It's machine washable, so extremely practical and can be knitted to any of the gorgeous Baby Crofter patterns or any double knitting patterns.

Saris are exotic, colourful and sparkling as reflected in this combination of 90% polyamide & 10% nylon. This is a fantastic knitting yarn from Louisa Harding that really captivated us and the combination of glitter threads and gossamer ribbon is a winner without being flimsy. Sari is excellent for making into accessories and clothing and works really well woven through soft mohair scarves. Although it is primarily a knitting yarn, just imagine it couched into an embroidery or combined into weaves, braids or tassels - wow!

Chic is spun from a combination of 60% nylon, 30% polyester and 10% metalised polyester, which doesn't sound very inspiring until you see what that means! This lovely eyelash yarn is made in some fantastic combinations, both subtle and dramatic and all are interspersed with long strands of glitter making it really luxurious. There are patterns available for scarves & shrugs and a white wedding collection of accessories. It's also brilliant to add decoration and embellishment to weaves, embroideries & tassels.
