Have you ever needed just a small amount of orange yarn for the carrot nose of a snowman or a bit of grey for an elf's beard?? Well here is a yarn designed just for all you toy knitters! The popularity of Alan Dart's and Jean Greenhowe's fantastic knitted toys and characters has led Sirdar to introduce Bonus Toytime. It's a 100% acrylic DK yarn in the most popular toy shades so that you can buy just what you need, rather than having lots of leftovers. Of course you can use the yarn for other projects such as tiny baby or doll's clothes or knitting striped or multi-coloured kid's knits.

Following the success of Snowball, Sirdar have now introduced Baby Snowball. It's 100% polyester and is constructed of small, soft, squashy pom poms, but it's still really quick and easy to knit. It's the softest, most cuddliest yarn you could imagine and the patterns created include a gorgeous blanket, plus cosy hats, accessories and little garments. The shades are soft and delicate with classic cream and fresh white, plus four other frosted colours to suit all your little ones.

Baby Crofter is the baby version of the immensely popular Crofter DK, however, this double knitting yarn has been created on a "Snuggly" base, to the blend of 55% nylon and 45% acrylic means it's lovely and soft against the most sensitive skins. It has a Fairisle effect as you knit meaning you achieve unique and colourful effects with none of the hard work. The colours are inspired by the gentle shades of the Scottish Highlands and there are shades to suit boys and girls. It's machine washable, so extremely practical and can be knitted to any of the gorgeous Baby Crofter patterns or any double knitting patterns.

Flirt is a fabulous new double knitting yarn by Sirdar, which to the keen-eyed amongst you is identical to Baby Bamboo. It has the same lovely blend of 80% bamboo and 20% wool creating a soft, gleaming yarn. The shades are deep, rich and bright shades along with some gorgeous metallic and shimmering colours. The designs within the pattern booklet are sophisticated and glamorous creating a gorgeous collection of designs. Why not mix and match Flirt with Baby Bamboo - it's exactly the same yarn, so a great opportunity to play around with colour combinations.

Snuggly Kisses is exactly the same blend (of 55% nylon and 45% acrylic) as Sirdar Snuggly Double Knitting, but rather than being a solid colour it has a delicate stripe effect that appears as you knit. We have begun stocking this yarn to coincide with the release of the fantastic Sirdar Booklets "Little Kisses" and "More Kisses". This pretty yarn comes in a beautiful palette of soft, toning shades and makes adorable knits for little ones. Kisses DK will knit to all Sirdar baby double knitting patterns and it's easy care, so is really practical too!.

The UK’s favourite baby hand knitting yarn, Snuggly DK is a blend of 55% nylon and 45% acrylic which creates a softness that babies love. This is Sirdar's fabulous "Scarf-in-a-ball" concept where one of these lovely big balls will knit a long, luscious scarf in no time at all - the first one I made took about 50 minutes! It's 100% polyester and the yarn is constructed of 4cm long snowballs spaced out evenly with a thinner yarn in between. There is a pattern for a scarf on the back of each ball band with clear instructions and diagrams as to how to complete your project. A finished scarf for an adult would be approx 2m long, but you could make two smaller scarves for children. A scarf made from Snowball is the perfect gift, whether you leave it 'til the last minute to make it or get addicted and make loads of them! We love this yarn! It changes colour gradually throughout the huge 400g ball so you get a brilliant, subtle effect, rather than obvious joins. Yo-yo is a blend of 74% acrylic, 14% wool and 12% polyester and this combination is spun into a soft, light boucle in a gorgeous range of colours. It's so light that you can knit a woman's garment from just one ball and there's even a free pattern for a round neck sweater printed on the ball band! Sirdar's designers have created some fabulous patterns to really bring out the best in this yarn by allowing the shaded areas to overlap and contrast against each other. Brilliant!

It comes in lovely, subtle, heathery shades with all the pinks, lilacs and greens found in the Scottish hills and glens. This thicker, but light yarn will knit up even quicker into fabulous garments and accessories for all members of the family.

Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo in my humble opinion is not a very good name for this gorgeous yarn. Babies love the soft feel and gentle lustre, but so do us grown-ups! It's a DK, spun from 80% bamboo and 20% wool making it perfect as a summery yarn to knit into tops and wraps, with the wool providing that bit of warmth on a chilly evening. It has a lovely drape and a lustre similar to that of a mercerised cotton. The range of colours is ever-increasing to now include rich, bright shades that would suit all the family.

Crofter is a fabulous self-patterning DK yarn spun from a soft blend of 60% acrylic, 25% cotton and 15% wool. The Fairisle appears before your eyes as you knit so you get a brilliant effect without the hard work! It comes in lovely, subtle, heathery shades with all the pinks, lilacs and greens found in the Scottish hills and glens. Crofter is a lightweight, but cosy yarn making it ideal for Spring and Autumn days and the fantastic patterns that have been designed include garments and accessories for all the family.

Calico DK is a very pretty, light and soft blend of 60% cotton and 40% acrylic. Perfect for Spring and Summer knitting it comes in a lovely range of shades to suit all occasions. Calico has an incredible yardage so you don't need many balls to knit a garment and it's nice and light, so won't weigh you down on hot summer days. Sirdar have produced a great pattern book of designs, but it will also knit to any other DK patterns.

This is a lovely yarn spun from 100% undyed virgin wool perfect for knitting into garments and accessories for the whole family - also ideal for felting. At a time when we are looking to be more environmentally sensitive it's great to know that only natural products have been used in the processing of this yarn, so you can be confident of its genuine "green" credentials. The 5 shades have been carefully created by blending the natural shades of raw wool. Snowflake is the softest yarn for the softest skin constructed from a fleece style polyester fibre. It is a lovely lightweight yarn in sunny shades, designed to keep baby cosy and warm. These 25g balls are really economical and you get a tremendous yardage per ball. Snowflake will keep its quality through machine washing making it a really practical yarn. We have lovely patterns and as it's DK it can be used in combination with any other DK yarn to most DK patterns!
