Transferable Adhesive
This product isn't Bondaweb, but it is very similar. An essential for all needlecrafters.
This is essentially a very fine sheet of glue (dry to the touch) which is attached to a paper backing which is transferred to fabric by ironing.
Although once used exclusively by dressmakers for holding up hems etc. instead of stitching it is now an essential tool for patchworking, applique and quilting.
Embroiderers have also discovered its versatility for holding and bonding fabrics, threads and sequins etc. together. For even more ideas we have "Vanishing Act" by Double Trouble in our books department.
Try experimenting with this fascinating product available in two useful sizes (45cm x 50cm - fat quarter or 90cm x 100cm).

Aquatics 'Romeo' Soluble Film
Aquatics Romeo is a clear water soluble film that looks and feels like heavy-duty plastic/polythene. It will dissolve completely when immersed in cool water or held under a slow running tap. Printing directly onto the film with an inkjet printer can be done by first attaching the film to a "carrier sheet" for stability, using low-tack or temporary adhesive.
As one of the heaviest weights of water-soluble film, Romeo works well out of a hoop as well as in a hoop opening up more freedom to experimentation.
Uses include: creating machine stitched sculptures, bowls and jewellery; creating motifs, petals and leaves directly onto the film without a backing fabric. Use in combination with Bond for even more scope when sandwiching fancy fibres and threads to prevent threads tangling in your sewing machine.

Aquatics 'Aquasol' Soluble Fabric
Aquatics Aquasol, with added strength, looks and feels like a medium weight interfacing that dissolves completely when immersed in water. It can be printed with an inkjet printer. It is also fine enough to see through, so that designs can be traced using a water-soluble pen or can simply be drawn onto freehand, easily expanding the design possibilities.
Aquasol is a relatively new soluble product that offers all the benefits of the original lightweight water-soluble film, but with added strength making it easier to handle and eliminating the frustrating tears and holes that often appear in a finer film.
Uses include: stabilising fine fabrics such as voile, organza, silk and chiffon; creating motifs without a backing fabric; creative hand and machine embroidery; ideal for embroidery on stretchy or elasticated fabrics.

Aquatics 'Paper' Soluble Paper
Aquatics Paper looks and feels like parchment paper. It dissolves completely when immersed in, or gently brushed with, cool water. It will readily accept both freehand design or computer generated images printed directly onto it with an inkjet printer.
Paper is strong enough to reinforce delicate fabrics without adding bulk or changing the characteristics of the fabric. The beauty of being able to print onto Paper is that intricate and original designs that would be almost impossible to draw freehand can simply be printed on, then simply embroidered through the Paper directly onto the fabric.
Uses include: stabilising fabrics; creating accurate quilting templates; hand and machine embroidery of intricate designs; following quilting designs drawn directly onto the paper.
