This gorgeous yarn is spun from 100% lambswool and is available in the most delectable range of colourways. Olympia is a chunky, roving style yarn with glorious combinations creating marls and subtle colour blends throughout. We don't know the exact origin of this yarn, other than it was destined for the organic range of a very well known yarn company. It's a luxurious blend of 70% merino wool and 30% fine alpaca giving a lovely handle. We believe that it has been organically grown and dyed naturally using sustainable plant dyes - hence the soft palette of muted, natural shades. The yarn is a heavy DK and this could be the problem - not a standard ply. However, a bit of tweaking of any double knitting pattern and you should be fine.
